About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the IBM Cloud documentation site (IBM Cloud Docs) and the IBM Cloud API reference site (IBM Cloud API Docs). You’ll work with a team of developers, DevOps, and contentOps to create and improve tools that help the documentation teams deliver high-quality content in an efficient, iterative way. As IBM Cloud is always evolving, you will be working in a fast-paced, exciting environment where there’s always something new to learn.
What You’ll Do:
- Work on the IBM Cloud documentation site and API reference site.
- Build and maintain tools to help the documentation team publish content quickly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with a team of developers, DevOps, and contentOps to improve the publishing process.
- Focus on creating scalable and efficient web interfaces using modern web technologies.
What You Need:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: At least 1+ year of full-stack software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS, and modern web technologies.
- A good understanding of software engineering practices, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), and data structures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to issues quickly.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with jQuery, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Redux, Ember, or Angular.
- Familiarity with XML and XSLTs.
- Experience with IBM Cloud services is a plus.
- Passion for building efficient and scalable web interfaces.
